I started with a blank Excel sheet and gave the Copilot Agent this prompt:
“Create a project budget tracker. I need columns for Task, Owner, Start Date, End Date, Budgeted Cost, and Actual Cost. Add a ‘Variance’ column that calculates the difference. Format the table professionally. Add data validation for the ‘Owner’ column with these names: Billy, Lynda, Manus. Create a summary section at the top with the total budgeted and actual costs.”
In minutes, the agent built the entire spreadsheet. Not just the data, but the structure, the formulas, the formatting, and the data validation.
